Author Visit - Gillian Seale

We were delighted to have a visit from Gillian Seale to help us to celebrate World Book Day. Gillian talked to the children in years 1-4 about how she became inspired to write stories that support families. She also impressed us with her amazing watercolour paintings. She talked about what motivates her as a writer and how she has overcome challenges along the way. Her book 'Postpixie Missing in Action' is available to purchase through Parent Pay.

Gillian also spent some time talking to our reading ambassadors. She was very impressed with how motivated our reading ambassadors are and their knowledge of different books and authors.

You can find out more about Gillian and the work that she does for bereaved families at her website: https://tailoredyarn.com/

World Book Day has been a great success on lower site. Every classroom has been full of book talk. Please see the year group news stories to see the pictures of the chidren having fun questioning each other about their mystery books.
