Mary's Meals collection
Thank you so much to everyone who donated items for our recent Mary's Meals charity collection.
The Friends of Wallasey Village Library came to school today to collect all the ruck sacks and other donations from members of the school council for years 1 and 2 and were thrilled with everyone's generosity.
The donations will now be sorted and sent to the charity's headquarters in Scotland before going to children in Malawi.
if you would like to donate any items please take them to Wallasey Village library. The list of items required is below.
- A hand towel
- crayons (not felt tips as they do not know to replace the lids!)
- pencil sharpener
- packs of coloured pencils
- blue or black biros
- pencil case
- small bouncy ball ie. tennis ball
- a dessert spoon
- boys shorts and t shirt (age 5 -- 12)
- girls skirt and t shirt or dress (age 5 - 12)
- toothpaste and soap
- A5 lined notebook
- flip flops or sandals.
Clothes may be items that your own children have grown out but that are still in good condition.
Remember that toothbrushes, toothpaste and soap should be new.
Don’t be tempted to put in treats or extra gifts. It is important to only include items that are on the list. Every backpack is checked to make sure they have the same contents. This is important for customs reasons and to ensure fairness during distribution.
