World Book Day

World Book Day - 2019

Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed celebrating World Book Day and dressing up as their favourite character from a book. Some of the characters ranged from Willy Wonker, Mr Men characters, Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland and Harry Potter. Children found this day very exciting and loved being able to share their book with their friends and teacher. In the afternoon, children from Year 3 came down to our classrooms and shared their books with the Year 1 children and even read their book to them. The Year 1 children loved working with Year 3 and showed fantastic engagement and interest. A big thank you to Year 3 for coming down to see us! Also, we drew a picture of us dressed up, wrote a sentence to describe who we were and completed a wordsearch with words associated to books. All children looked fantastic and had a brilliant day celebrating World Book Day!
