Year 1 and 2 Christmas Assembly

Mr Cassidy delivered a festive Christmas assembly to the children today. He talked to the children about what Christmas means to them and their families, and to the wider community. We celebrated and thanked the children for all the work that they have done this term fundraising, particulary the gifts that have been brought in for the Mission Christmas Toy Appeal.

We also celebtrated the hard work and enthusiasm that the children have shown towards their learning. At the end of each half term the teachers in each year group choose one child to be given the 'Will Allen Respect Trophy'. This term Oliver in 1A and James in 1B have been selected. Both children display positive attitudes, respect and kindness towards others. They are consistently good role models and put in 100% effort in everything they do. Well done to both children.

Mr Cassidy also gave out awards for the 2 children who have received the most blue and gold awards in each year group. Thses awards went to Lawrence 1A and Riley 2C. Well done!

Of course we also gave out our weekly awards for our 'leraning hereos' who have been trying extra hard this week.

All of the staff in years 1 and 2 would like to wich you all a Happy Christmas.
