Year 1 and 2 Fundraiser for Nathan Young

The children in Year 1 and 2 are raising money to support our learning hero, Nathan Young. He is raising money so that he can represent Great Britain in the Deaf World Swimming Championships in Brazil. Nathan has been in to speak to the children and gave them a very inspiring talk about his journey. As an ex-pupil of St George's it was fantastic to welcome him back to school.

Today the children are taking part in a silent lesson and a silent playtime to help them to think about how deaf people can communicate in different ways. Their firstjob of the day was to use whiteboards to communicate their lunch choice. They will also be learning a song in sign language.

Thank you to all children and parents for the kind donations that have been sent into school today.
