Can we save the town from disaster? ? Year 4 volcano workshop

This morning, we were lucky enough to have a special visitor from The National History Museum. We were learning all about Earthquakes and Volcanoes, when a news alarm told us about a potential eruption about to happen.

The museum needed our help to investigate geological forces from deep within the Earth and learn about earthquakes and flowing lava.

We had to use our scientific thinking skills, our knowledge of equipment like seismometers and thermometers to help decide whether to evacuate the town or not.

We loved being scientists today! ??
