Final Year 1 and 2 assembly of 2022 and farewell to Mrs Staples

Today we had a very festive assembly to end the term. We sang Christmas songs and reflected on all of the fun we have had over the past few weeks celebrating Christmas - Santa visits, Christmas fair, Christingle, Church performances, Christmas dinner, choir performances, Christmas crafts and cards, movie afternoon and Christmas parties! Mr Cassidy asked us all to think about how we will spread kindness and joy over Christmas with our families at home.

We also had some celebrations:

Creative Arts Competition Winners - William in 1C and Abigail in 2C

Most blue and gold zoes from September to December - Pippa in 1C and Jake H in 2A

The children were presented with certificates and prizes by Mr Cassidy.

We also had a big goodbye to say to Mrs Staples who is retiring after working at St George's for 19 years. We said a big thank you to her for all of her hard work at St George's. She has worked in all of the different year groups across the school and we will all miss her a lot.

We hope that all of our children and their families have a Merry Christmas from all of the Key Stage 1 team.
