Mini Police head outward bound

On Friday 21st April the Mini Police were invited on an outward-bound activity led by Merseyside Police. The 5 Mini Police from St George's were joined by 5 Mini Police representatives from Mersey Park Primary School and walked Rivington Pike.

Unfortunately, it was deemed to be too windy for us to reach the top of the hill but the Mini Police enjoyed their activity and learned about map reading, compass directions as well as how to keep safe when completing long walks.

All the children were fantastic on the walk, which was certainly not easy! They really showed their perseverance and resilience and worked so well with the children from Mersey Park Primary.

Following the trip, The Mini Police Coordinator said: 'Thank you to both sets of Mini Police for their exceptional behaviour on Friday – not once did I hear any moans or groans about walking, they all just got on with it.  They were an absolute credit to both schools and a pleasure to be around.'
