Paying Respect at the RAFA War Memorial

13 of our Year 6 pupils, Mr Cassidy and Mrs Roberts joined 20 local veterans from the 3 services (army, navy and RAF), their families, local councillors and the Reverend Ian Ward yesterday at the RAFA Club in Wallasey village for a service to commemorate remembrance day.   The 3 services, school and council all laid a wreath to mark their respects.  Children sang and read prayers.

It was a very poignant service, especially because it also marked 100 years of the Royal British Legion.. Our children ensured that their generation will never forget the sacrifices made by past generations an effort that was very much valued by everybody present.
