School Council Visit Houses of Parliament

The School Council experienced an amazing tour of the Houses of Parliament. During this trip they went to the House of Lords and went into the debating room – they were not able to sit down because it would be seen as a sign of disrespect to the MPs!

In the House of Lords they stood above the room where Guy Fawkes was found with gunpowder.  

In addition, the children thoroughly enjoyed a ‘Laws and Debating’ workshop, where they learnt how a bill passes through Parliament.

This will be a trip they do not forget in a hurry! Truly extraordinary memories...
