Visit to The Open!

A group of children from Years 3 and 4 had a fantastic day at Royal Liverpool Golf Course in Hoylake, watching some of the world’s best golfers prepare for The Open later this week.

The children enjoyed watching the practice rounds, as well as watching the golfers prepare on the driving range, chipping and putting green.The children also visited the Swingzone and received expert coaching and advice from the Golf Foundation, learning all about putting and chipping.

Throughout the day,  we even managed time to grab autographs and pictures with professional golfers such as Tyrrell Hatton, Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnson and many more!

All of the children represented St George’s brilliantly throughout the day.  They are all now looking forward to watching the event unfold across the weekend to see who will lift the trophy on Sunday!
