Watercolour studies inspired by O'Keeffe in Year 4

This week, Year 4 have explored Georgia O'Keeffe's online collection and focused on her use of watercolour and representation of landscapes. They investigated her artwork, looking closely at the watercolour techniques used, colour choices and composition. After that, the children used viewfinders to select an area of interest within a painting to replicate. They made colour swatches to ensure the colours mixed were as close to the original as possible, and then evaluated the success of their studies during a crit group. Have a look at their wonderful work!
