Year 1 - Animals Take over

Year 1 have had a very exciting visit this week from Lindsay from Animals Take Over, who came into school with a range of different animals that she looks after. These animals included: a hedgehog, an owl, a tree frog, a leopard gecko, a bearded dragon, a snake, some mice and a chinchilla. The children were lucky enough to hold or stroke all of the animals if they wanted to and asked Lindsay lots of different questions to find out more. She taught the children lots of facts about the different animal groups (mammals, amphibians, reptiles, birds and fish), their body parts, how they eat/drink, how they live, how she cares for them at her house and what they need to survive. The children thoroughly enjoyed this visit and could recall some interesting facts they had learnt. Please look on Seesaw for lots of lovely photos of your child.
