Matilda attended a 90 minute Zoom session every week as part of a Wirral Libraries creative writing project for children aged 7 to 11.
The theme was all about climate change and children were invited to join the Zoom based courses with author Charlie Lea, who guided them on how to write powerful and persuasive stories of their own.
Matlida was then invited to attend a Climate Champions Storytelling Showcase at the Liverpool Central Library where she read out her own story.

Then, we had a go at some call and response drumming: our leader shouted, "I like chips for tea!" and we had to shout back, "He likes chips for tea!" all whilst drumming to each word! After a few practice rounds of responding to different calls, we then performed in classes to the rest of Year 6 what we had learned. What a fantastic experience!
