Commemorating 100 Years of the Royal British Legion Mural, by Mr Cassidy

Date: 19th Oct 2021 @ 10:57am

Last week we unveiled our 100 years of the British Legion commemorative mural.  The mural was designed by our children after working with local artist Joseph Venning last year. Joe has captured the children’s work brilliantly.  We are delighted to have taken part in such an important project.   It is crucial that our children do not forget the sacrifices made by members of the armed services.

Even the ECHO has taken interest.

The mural will be used with Wallasey RAFA Club’s commemorative mural to launch the North-West Poppy Appeal on 28th October.

Date: 1st Oct 2021 @ 2:24pm

Today in our outdoor learning session, we learnt about Harvest festival, and the different types of food and celebrations that are happening at different times all over the world.

We worked together to think about the life cycle of some of our harvest fruits and the nutrients required for our crops to grow. We then got to pick our own fruits from the trees grown in our centenary garden. We washed our fruit and ate it for our break time snack. If you wanted to see your classes outdoor learning photographs they will be on your google classroom stream ?

Happy Harvest ! ??

3B's virtual Rock Wrangle was absolutely fantastic today! All of the children put so much effort into their wonderful costumes and brought great enthusiasm and positivity into their live virtual lessons. I loved how supportive they all were of one another. I am so proud of everybody for taking part in their battle against 3D and for giving it their 100% effort. Well done to our top 5 players during the battle - Jenson W, Jenson C, Daisy, Imogen and Ella. Jenson W was crowned the top ROCKSTAR of the battle, as he earned the most points! Taylor won the award for most improved player and Ethan was awarded with most effort. A huge well done to every single one of you who participated today. You are all truly ROCK LEGENDS!!!

I have had the best day with you all and I hope you all enjoyed it! Keep up the hard work 3B - I am so unbelievably proud of you all!!
